The Czech Philharmonic's autumn tour of European concert halls was a spectacular success among audiences and professional reviewers. We are extremely pleased with this and we believe that during the spring tour we will also give a performance that our foreign audience will remember for a long time.

The orchestra will perform eight concerts in Graz, Vienna, Budapest, Zagreb, Udine, Milan and Aix-en-Provence. In Milan's Teatro alla Scala, the Czech Philharmonic will play for the first time since 1962, when it played there under the baton of Karel Ančerl. The performance at the Easter Festival at the Grand Théâtre de Provence will be a premiere for the orchestra.

The Czech Philharmonic has prepared two programmes for the tour. The first will be Gustav Mahler's Sixth Symphony, which the orchestra will perform again at the end of May in Leipzig and then in June in Prague, and the second will be a trio of compositions by Béla Bartók, Igor Stravinsky and Thierry Escaich.

Looking forward to it!
