He first appeared in the Czech Philharmonic in 2012 within the orchestral academy project and joined the orchestra full-time in 2018 as the second bassoonist and contrabassoonist.
He studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel (Switzerland) with Italian bassoonist Sergio Azzolini and later continued at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, focusing at old music and historical instruments.
He was a member of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Prague Symphony Orchestra. He also played with the festival orchestra in Verbier (Switzerland), Philharmonia Orchestra in London and Kremerata Baltica. In 2005, he co-founded wind chamber ensemble Belfiato Quintet. Besides concerts with the Czech Philharmonic and the quintet, you can hear him perform on baroque and classicistic bassoons which he likes to collect and study in his free time.
He teaches course on historical instruments at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno and regularly teaches at the Summer Oboe and Bassoon Academy of J. Likitin and O. Šindelář. He also collaborates with the publishing house Bärenreiter.
