He first studied with Miroslav Hradecký in the local music school in Ledeč nad Sázavou, continued at the Teplice Conservatory with Miroslav Maleček and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Professor Vlastimil Mareš.
He has attended a number of international clarinet interpretation courses with Michel Arrignon, Michel Lethiec and Michel Raison, chamber music courses with Maurice Bourgue as well as various competitions. He won the 2nd prize at the Conservatories Competition, the 1st prize at a wind instrument competition in Chomutov, the Golden Diploma at the Music and Song from Eastern Europe Competition and the City of Prague Award at the Prague Spring Competition 1996.
In 1997, he joined PKF – Prague Philharmonia and was a member of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2008–2014.
