“Dear friends of the Czech Philharmonic, welcome to our orchestra’s new season! It is fitting that we unveil our plans for the future while the current season is still in full swing. Balancing the present while dreaming of a future that ensures the natural evolution of the Czech Philharmonic’s identity is our daily bread. The meaning of identity has countless layers, but we can distill it into three essential elements: musicality, the technical mastery that brings that musicality to life, and above all, the desire to surpass today what we achieved yesterday.”

— Semyon Bychkov, Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Czech Philharmonic
