Pack suitcases, print tickets and most importantly don't forget all the instruments and sheet music! The Czech Philharmonic, led by its Chief Conductor and Music Director Semyon Bychkov, starts its grand tour of Europe's most famous halls.
The October tour associated with the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union is the highlight of the touring season for the orchestra. As the most important Czech cultural institution, the Czech Philharmonic will visit spectacular European venues including Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie, Munich's Gasteig, Cologne's Philharmonie, Belgium's Bozar, the Philharmonie Luxembourg and Essen over the course of ten days. The orchestra will also prepare two performances at the Paris Philharmonic.
The concerts will feature works by Gustav Mahler, Dmitri Shostakovich, Joseph Haydn and Robert Schumann. French cellist Gautier Capuçon and Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson will enchant the audience as soloists.
We are looking forward to meet all the listeners from abroad!
