Rudolfinum — Ceremony Hall and other premises

To enter the Ceremony Hall, use the entrance of the Galerie Rudolfinum from Alšovo nábřeží.

Would you like to know which of Mahler's symphonies is closest to Semyon Bychkov? How did he find his way to Smetana's My Country? Which aria from Dvořák's Rusalka captures his heart? Or is there something in your mind that you have never read or heard of him before?

Take the opportunity to ask the chief conductor of the Czech Philharmonic via e-mail what you are interested in. We will ask the question for you - at the Aftertalk in the Ceremony Hall after the first of three subscription concerts that close this year's Rudolfinum season.

This evening you can have some of the award-winning recordings made during the past five years when Semyon Bychkov was the leader of the Czech Philharmonic signed: The Tchaikovsky Project, Mahler's Symphonies Nos. 4 and 5, the latest CD featuring Mahler's Symphony No. 2, and the iconic LP set My Country, released on the occasion of the Maestro's 70th birthday in December 2022.

If you don't have tickets for the already sold-out concert at the Dvořák Hall, don't worry - we offer you several options for spending a pleasant time before meeting our chief conductor. Admission to all the accompanying events is free, and the Café Rudolfinum will also be open throughout.

In the afternoon you can sweeten your life with honey from the hives on the roof of the Rudolfinum during the traditional Honey harvest. Afterwards, we invite you to the exhibition Shifted Realities (the Galerie Rudolfinum will be exceptionally open until 21.00) with a guided tour.

In the Artpark of the Galerie Rudolfinum you can enjoy listening to the LP set My Country performed by the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of Semyon Bychkov. Top MBL equipment for listening will be lent for this evening only by Top Hifi Europe, which is also a partner of the recording. An alternative is also the Open Air concert of the Prague Philharmonic Choir in the Wallenstein Garden, which is just across the river from the Rudolfinum.

We look forward to seeing you!
