Come learn together what music has taught us since ancient times - to play your own rhythm, to express the inexpressible with your voice, and to find strength in playing together.

You are invited to the project Music for Ourselves, which is intended for classes that aspire to and have the courage to go even deeper into music. The guide on the musical journey will be Ondřej Tichý; other musicians and instructors will lend him a helping hand.

In this year-long cooperation, the children and their teachers get a chance to take part actively in music made in direct contact with musicians and other classes. Gatherings take place individually (in your classroom) and in groups with other classes at the Rudolfinum or, if necessary, online.

During the workshops, the children not only learn to use their voices and various instruments but also practice listening, concentrate their attention, and make contact with their peers. Last but not least, through music they express what they feel or what can't be said in words.

We make use of experiences from the whole year at the April gathering of all participating classes, musicians, and instructors in the Dvořák Hall on 13 April 2023.
Pupils in grades 2-4 make great partners for making songs and little compositions that then inspire children somewhere else entirely.
The programme is different each year, and the contents reflect the interests of the registered groups. I you have the courage to take the path with us, don't hesitate. In the 2022/23 season we have room for 8 classes.

The joint concluding performance is on 13 April 2023 at 9.30 a.m., in the Dvořák Hall. The other four dates are by agreement.
We are preparing the project so that it can take place in the broadest possible form in case of public health measures.
