Morning Concerts

Once again, this year, audiences are invited to join the Czech Chamber Music Society for its Morning Concerts at the Martinů Hall in the Academy of Performing Arts (AMU) in Malá Strana. Combining the special location with an offering of programmes featuring diverse combinations of players, Morning Concerts are known for their unique atmosphere.

This season’s highlights include works that are not frequently heard on the concert stage including those by Czech composers such as Karel Boleslav Jirák and Jan Kubelík, performed by the Sedláček Quartet, and Petr Eben, whose Windows will be performed by organist Petr Čech and the Czech Philharmonic’s first trumpet player Walter Hofbauer. Audiences can also look forward to performances by prominent Czech performers such as the Kalabis Wind Quintet and the Apollon Quartet later in the year.
