Subscription Series II

The Year of Czech Music dominates the programmes of all music institutions from Aš to Jablunkov. However, the second series of the CCMS will also feature lesser-known Czech natives such as Klement Slavický, Josef Bohuslav Foerster, Jiří Antonín Benda, Erwin Schulhoff, Rudolf Friml and Eduard Douša.

The renowned Hagen Quartet will bring a purely Beethoven programme to Prague. The concert, which was cancelled three years ago due to covid measures, will look back at the recent 250th anniversary of Ludwig Van Beethoven. We will celebrate the centenary of its foundation with the Czech Nonet, which, as one of the first wind ensembles in the Czech Republic, was also at the beginning of the Czech Chamber Music Society. We are looking forward to recitals by two very popular artists in Prague, soprano Kateřina Kněžíková and harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani. The Bennewitz Quartet and the Czech Trio will perform exclusively Czech music.
