“We deeply appreciate the Czech Chamber Music Society Award, which is rooted in such a rich tradition. For us, chamber music is a place of meaningful musical dialogue – a space where every voice matters and something greater than the sum of the individual instruments comes into being.”

— Alinde Quintet members

The Czech Chamber Music Society Award has been presented since 1981 and recognises the most outstanding achievements in chamber music by ensembles whose members are, on average, no older than 35 years. Throughout its forty-year history, the award has been presented thirty-four times. The first recipients were the Kocian Quartet, while the most recent winner for 2023 was the Kalabis Quintet.

The award includes a print by Czech painter and printmaker Míla Fürstová, a monetary prize, and a concert in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum, which will take place as part of the Czech Chamber Music Society’s 2025/2026 season. The laureate for 2024 was selected by a jury composed of Jaroslav Kulhan, Jiří Hlaváč, Jiří Panocha, Josef Špaček Jr., Marek Šulc, Miroslav Sekera, and Radek Křižanovský.

"The jury was unanimous in its decision. Although we have once again selected a wind quintet this year, the exceptional performances of the Alinde Quintet and their sensational victory at the ARD International Competition left us in no doubt that they are fully deserving of this award."

— Radek Křižanovský, Artistic Director of the Czech Chamber Music Society
